Our naturally colored mohair comes from our herd of colored angora goats.  Colors include black, grey, silver, cream and faded red (pictured here).  Sold both as spinning locks and carded batts. 

Mohair makes a wonderful yarn spun by itself or blended with other fibers and is often used for doll hair by crafters. 

Kid: $3.00/oz  Yearling and young adult: $2.50/oz  Older adult: $1.50/oz

We hand dye our colored mohair for a lustrous assortment of colors.  Most often we dye our cream and faded red fibers. 

 Colored mohair seems to become a richer color with a varying degree of color throughout the fibers compared to dyed white mohair.  We prefer the effects of dyed colored mohair.
